Bethlehem, PA — NAI Summit, based in eastern Pennsylvania announced the sale of the former IQE building located at 119 Technology Dr. in Bethlehem. The property has been acquired by GfM Breman, a German-based company specializing in the micronization process for the pharmaceutical industry. They will utilize the facility for their first US operations.
The building, which sold for $5.525 million features 32 clean rooms, warehouse space, office area, a machine shop, and generator backups—amenities highly sought after by life sciences companies. IQE, a global leader in semiconductor manufacturing, transitioned its Bethlehem operations to Greensboro, North Carolina in 2023 as part of its global consolidation strategy.
The seller was represented by the NAI Summit brokerage team of Mike Adams and Sarah Finney Miller. “The infrastructure and location of this facility made it an ideal fit for another life sciences operation,” said Mike Adams, senior vice president at NAI Summit. “GfM Breman’s decision to establish their U.S. headquarters here was influenced by the strength of the Lehigh Valley workforce, proximity to Lehigh University and easy access to I-78.”
The surrounding area is home to prominent manufacturers such as OraSure and the technology incubator Ben Franklin Technology Partners.
GfM Breman, a leading Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) renowned for its GMP Micronization and Milling services in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, will utilize the Bethlehem facility for its first U.S. operations. The company serves a global clientele and is known for its cutting-edge equipment and technology.
