KeyPoint Partners managing, leasing North Adams Center for new owner

New owner awards contracts for Parkade Plaza, a prominent 127,626 s/f retail center


North Adams, MA — KeyPoint Partners (KPP) is handling property management and leasing for Parkade Plaza, a 127,626 s/f retail center in the heart of North Adams, an historic community bordering Williamstown, within sight of Mount Greylock in the Berkshires. KPP was awarded the contracts by the new owner.

Parkade Plaza is bordered by Main St., Ashland St., and American Legion Hgwy., with excellent visibility and access from Rte. 8 and Rte. 2. Tenants at the center include Planet Fitness, Dollar Tree, Label Shopper, H&R Block, T-Mobile, Papa Ginos, and Rent-A-Center. A new Liquor World store will open at the center soon.

Parkade Plaza is close to town offices and services, the RMV, Berkshire Health Systems Medical Center, Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, and in walking distance of Mass MOCA, a world-class modern art museum.

“There are number of opportunities in various sizes for a variety of uses: retail, entertainment, medical and health, personal service, and others,” according to Rob Grady, VP of retail brokerage at KPP. “We’re hoping to create a mix of local, regional, and national tenants that will reinvigorate the center and enhance the North Adams downtown area. We’re open to all inquiries.”

KeyPoint Partners negotiated a new lease for its expanding cinema client Apple Cinemas for a premier cinema location at City Center in White Plains, NY. Apple Cinemas will replace the former Showcase Cinema Deluxe. VP of retail brokerage Don Mace negotiated the deal for the 80,000 s/f cinema.

“Apple Cinemas will provide high quality family entertainment at City Center, greatly enhancing the movie-going experience in White Plains,” Mace said. Apple Cinemas continues its national expansion, and is seeking sites throughout the US to develop new cinemas or rebrand existing ones, with a goal of opening 100 cinemas over the next decade. Apple Cinemas currently has 15 multi-screen family film and entertainment venues open, under construction, or recently signed, including three in NY.

“Apple Cinemas is on a path to becoming a top-tier cinema operator throughout the US Apple Cinemas excels at enhancing the movie-going experience via technology, improved FF&E, and enhanced food and beverage options including BurgerFi. We’re assessing every opportunity to grow the brand,” Mace said.

Since 2010, Apple Cinemas has provided premium entertainment experiences at exceptional value, with luxury stadium recliner seats, digital projection and sound, and self-serve snack bars in a family-friendly environment. Apple Cinemas will be adding upscale dining options at selected locations. Apple Cinemas presents varied and dynamic programming featuring popular blockbusters, art films, and foreign films in several languages.
