QUEENS, NY — National manufacturer Crystal Window & Door Systems is getting ready to celebrate a major milestone in its history. The coming year marks the 30th Anniversary for Crystal, and the company has many events and other marketing promotions planned. “When Crystal was launched in 1990, who could have imagined we would grow to be one of the largest window and door manufacturers in North America,” said Steve Chen, Crystal president. “We owe our success to our loyal trade customers who partner with us to bring quality fenestration to the built environment, and to our dedicated employees who find the best fenestration solutions for our customer projects and provide exemplary service.” The Chen family, who immigrated to America almost 40 years ago from Taiwan, started Crystal Windows in a small commercial garage space in Queens. The company began fabricating aluminum windows for the local neighborhood contractors, and soon expanded to offer vinyl windows. Over the years, Crystal launched new production operations with facilities in Chicago, Union, MO; Riverside, CA; and Scranton, PA. The company now has almost one million s/f of manufacturing space, more than 750 employees nationwide, and its products are distributed in over 40 states.
