Tell us how and when you began your career in the profession you are in:
My father owned a title agency when I was growing up, which he sold when I was in law school. I worked there throughout my life and learned a lot about almost every position in the firm.
Why did you choose the field/profession you are in today?
I felt it was the industry I could provide the most value in. To jump into any other field would require me to get years of experience before being able to add value to customers in the same way. Starting in title insurance as a child gave me years of experience and perspective before even finishing my college degree. Fully immersing myself in the industry before receiving the continued formal training allowed me to have a deeper perspective during the formal education process. That cannot be replicated if I decided to switch career directions or specialties.
What was your greatest professional accomplishment in 2019?
The CTP, Certified Title Professional, designation was appointed by the New Jersey Land Title Association. There are less than 30 people in the State of New Jersey with this professional designation. To accomplish it, one must have a very well rounded background, combined with experience and consistency.
