BALTIMORE, MD — Jeanette Shaw, AIA, RID, LEED AP, director of QA/QC and Sustainability of Houston-based Powers Brown Architecture, recently spoke to more than 200 general contractors, subcontractors, owner representatives and public building agency officials at the national “Advancing Construction Quality 2018” Conference, hosted by Hanson Wade and supported by the Construction Quality Executives Council (CQEC) and ASQ DCD (American Society for Quality Design & Construction Division) and held at the Radisson Hotel Baltimore-Inner Harbor. Nationally recognized for her firm’s streamlined documentation processes for quality control in design and construction, Shaw gave two presentations, “The Architect’s Perspective: Building a Program for Quality Excellence” and the “Changing the Low-Bid Mentality: Understanding How to Secure Client Buy-in.”
