Tell us how and when you began your career in the profession you are in?
I began my profession working at Nationwide Insurance, while finishing up college back in 1984. What is your current position? CEO and President of my own commercial insurance and risk management compliance advisory firm, KLM Consulting.
What is your greatest professional accomploshment in 2018?
Having my firm certified nationally as a women owned business through WBENC (Womens Business Enterprise National Council).
How do you manage a work/life balance?
I had to allocate time for work, raising kids, taking care of my husband and myself. Prioritize what is important to you. Make an appointment for yourself. Make an appointment for those who are a prority in your life. I raced bicycles, I had to make time to train. Exercise is important, everyone else will benefit from you taking the time you need for yourself.
