Ironside Building wins United Way Impact Award


MORRISTOWN, NJ — United Way of Northern New Jersey awarded its 2018 Impact Award to Ironside Newark on Friday, recognizing the building’s redevelopment as the commercial real estate project with the greatest positive impact on the northern New Jersey region this year. The award was announced during the 19th annual United Way Commercial Real Estate Network Legacy Luncheon, a fundraiser attended by a sold-out crowd of leading commercial real estate industry professionals with keynote speaker Trish O’Keefe, Ph.D., president of Morristown Medical Center.Chris Johnson, head coach of Hollister Construction Services, was also honored at the event as the recipient of the inaugural United Way Spirit Award. The award honors an individual from the commercial real estate industry whose actions reflect the values of United Way. Due to the industry’s support of the luncheon, including Gold sponsors JLL and Turner Construction Company, United Way raised an estimated $215,000 for its work to improve life for ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) individuals and families who are working but struggling to afford the basics.
