Born and raised in the Philadelphia suburbs, Devine graduated from Villanova University with a B.S. in accounting and went on to establish a career with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells, where he specialized in audit as a senior accountant and received his CPA license. Devine continued his career in the equipment leasing industry with Bell Atlantic, later becoming Wells Fargo Financial.
