Cumberland County has been touting the “fastest growing County in PA” status for some time now. In March the Pennsylvania State Data Center stated that Cumberland County was, once again, the fastest growing County in the state and saw its population rise by 6.2 percent between 2010 and 2017.Cumberland County had 250,066 people as of July 1, 2017, an increase of 14,658 people since the 2010 Census. This is not the only accolade for Cumberland County. We also have the 3rd lowest unemployment rate in the state, 7th highest median household income, 5th lowest poverty level, 7th highest college graduation rate and 4th highest health factor rating.These statistics, combined with our diverse industry base, allow Cumberland County to be a hot spot for new and growing businesses. The County continues to sustain a variety of successful industries.
