Crystal Window & Door Systems provide river views at new luxury project

Yonkers, NY — National manufacturer Crystal Window & Door Systems is nearing delivery completion of over 2,250 windows and doors for a new luxury apartment complex in Yonkers. The new development, River Tides at Greystone, located at 1133 Warburton Ave., features two 10-story towers set along the beautiful Hudson River.

“Crystal’s high-end commercial windows and terrace doors were a perfect fit for this type of upscale new construction project,” said Blaise Benevenga, regional sales manager for Crystal Windows. “We worked closely with Ginsburg Development and the entire team to ensure our window systems would complement the luxury design elements throughout the buildings.”Crystal was selected as the fenestration supplier for River Tides at Greystone because of its outstanding product line, value, and manufacturing capabilities and capacity. “Crystal has multiple factories, which allows us to take best advantage of material availability and production scheduling, key to meeting delivery schedule demands of large projects,” said Benevenga.Several different Crystal products were supplied for the River Tides buildings, with the most predominant being the aluminum Series 8600 outswing casement and 8610 picture windows. Over 900 Crystal aluminum Series 5600 2-lite sliding windows and Series 5100 fixed picture windows were specified for the project. The River Tides project also used Crystal sliding and swing doors to provide access to apartment terraces and other outside areas. The two buildings were supplied with 162 Crystal Series 1280 architecturally rated aluminum 2-lite sliding patio doors. Crystal also supplied 94 Series 1450 aluminum swing terrace doors with 12” transoms. The 3-¼” jamb Series 1450 door, with an AAMA rating of AW-PG75, utilizes a polyamide thermal break insulating strut system, multi-point lock system, 1-¼” IGUs, and an opening stop for superior thermal efficiency and safety. For even greater thermal performance, all the window and door IGUs used Vitro Solarban 60 low-E glass and argon gas filling. Crystal mullions, mullion covers, and mullion reinforcements facilitated the combination of window units and doors. Finally, all the windows, doors, and exposed mullions were finished with a durable AAMA 2604 special simulated anodized silver powder coat paint.
