Manheim Twp., PA — High Hotels Ltd. has broken ground on a Residence Inn by Marriott hotel, part of the mixed-use Crossings at Conestoga Creek development across from Long's Park in Manheim Township. East Lampeter Township-based High Real Estate Group LLC, a subsidiary of High Companies, is developing the Crossings project. In addition to the 127-room hotel, the development will include 258 luxury apartments and 210,000 s/f of retail and restaurant space. A Wegmans grocery store will be the development's anchor tenant. Wegmans is set to open in August 2018. Other tenants haven't been announced. High officials declined to disclose the construction costs, but said the hotel is slated to open in the first quarter of 2019. High Construction Co. is handling the construction. The Crossings project is not far from the Shoppes at Belmont development, a mixed-use project opening next year off the Fruitville Pike. Belmont also is in Manheim Township. Both developments have been in the works for more than a decade.
