Wilkes-Barre, PA — On September 23, 2016 the Central Pennsylvania Alliance (NEPA) will host its premier international trade event, the 17th Annual “Bringing the World to Central Pennsylvania.” The event will be held at The Woodlands Inn, Wilkes-Barre, PA. Businesses from NEPA’s seven county service area, Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Schuylkill and Wayne, are invited to attend this event and meet with Pennsylvania’s Authorized Trade Representatives from Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, India, Indonesia, Israel, Mexico, Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom. The Authorized Trade Representatives will be here to meet with businesses from Central Pennsylvania. They will discuss and review information from businesses on their products and services, existing domestic and international markets, trade opportunities, problems in specific markets and the level of assistance needed to be successful. They will also provide market intelligence and counseling and help develop a plan for additional assistance. The businesses then have the opportunity to follow up on the plan and request further assistance from the Trade Representatives, who will provide in-time information and market assistance. This unique event only happens in Pennsylvania. A business who seeks assistance from the Trade Representatives will find it has the resources of an additional staff of 15 marketing representatives around the world to help develop international markets and generate international sales. There is no cost to attend the 17th Annual “Bringing the World to Central Pennsylvania” or to meet with the Trade Representatives. However, registration is required since there are limited meetings slots for each Trade Representative. The NEPA Alliance, a regional community and economic development agency, serves the seven counties of Central Pennsylvania including Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Schuylkill and Wayne. NEPA Alliance services include Business Financing, Government Contracting Assistance, International Trade Assistance, Non Profit Assistance, Transportation Planning, Research and Information, and Local Government Services.
