ALEXANDRIA, VA — Rhodeside & Harwell, an award-winning landscape architecture and planning practice headquartered in the Washington, DC, area, has promoted three senior staff members. Kurt Parker, Meredith Judy, and Thomas Rainer have all been named principals of the firm. Kurt Parker joined Rhodeside & Harwell in 1994. He is a landscape architect who has overseen major projects for the firm, including site and landscape development for new U.S. Embassy campuses in North and West Central Africa, the Balkans, and the Southwestern Pacific Region. Meredith Judy, AICP, LEED AP, a planner with 15 years of experience, joined Rhodeside & Harwell in 2010. Judy has managed several major transportation and land use planning initiatives for the firm, including the award-winning Hull Street Corridor Revitalization Plan for the City of Richmond and Chesterfield County, VA. Thomas Rainer is a landscape architect with 14 years of experience. He joined Rhodeside & Harwell in 2009 and has directed the landscape design for many major projects, including the Connecticut Avenue median in downtown D.C.; the revitalization of Jones Beach State Park in New York; and the historic Summerhouse restoration on the grounds of the U.S. Capitol.
