Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis welcomes three new attorneys


WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP announced that Nita S. Vyas, Steven G. Mlenak and Leslie A. Barham have joined the firm and will be based in the firm’s Woodbridge office. Vyas is counsel in the firm’s tax, trusts & estates department, where her practice is focused on estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax planning, probate, and estate and trust administration matters. Her work includes drafting wills, trusts and other estate planning documents, charitable gift planning including forming foundations and charitable trusts and obtaining IRS tax-exempt status, life insurance planning, asset protection planning, and the coordination of transfers and estate plans among generations. Prior to joining the firm, Vyas practiced law at several leading international law firms. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. Mlenak is an associate in the firm’s real estate department. As a member of our Community Association Practice Group, he provides strategic guidance and general counseling to community association clients across a broad range of legal issues, including the interpretation and amendment of governing documents and by-laws, drafting contracts, collection of delinquent assessments, the enforcement of rules and regulations, operational and maintenance issues, the fiduciary responsibilities of board members, transition negotiations and litigation, Municipal Services Act compliance, and alternative dispute resolution. Mlenak is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York. Before joining the firm, he represented association clients at NJ law firm Griffin Alexander, PC. Barham is an associate in the firm’s litigation department, concentrating her practice in commercial litigation. Her experience encompasses various areas of civil litigation, including employment law, personal injury, medical malpractice, landlord/tenant disputes, construction law and community association litigation. Barham is admitted to practice in New Jersey.
