Morrison & Foerster continues its US national expansion with additions in Washington DC


WASHINGTON, DC — Morrison & Foerster announced that Lauren Bellerjeau joined the firm’s, DC office as a partner and Soo Lim becomes Of Counsel.

Bellerjeau regularly counsels real estate investment trusts and other companies with significant real estate holdings on the acquisition and disposition of large portfolios of real estate assets and their related management and services businesses, entry into strategic investments and complex structuring matters. Among Bellerjeau’s representative transactions are: •Advising GE in connection with its $23 billion divestiture of its commercial real estate portfolio •Representation of Equity Residential on the $16 billion acquisition of Archstone Enterprise LP from Lehman Brothers Holding, Inc. •Counsel to Playa Hotels & Resorts, B.V. in a series of real estate property and management related transactions •Representation of Eola Capital and certain of its affiliates in Eola Capital’s acquisition by Parkway Properties, Inc. and the sale of six real property assets Lim practice involves a broad range of real estate law, with particular focus on financings. She regularly represents lenders in connection with syndicated, mortgage, mezzanine, acquisition, and construction loan facilities involving a wide variety of asset classes throughout the United States, including hotels, multi-family, industrial, office, retail, condominium, cooperative, rental and unimproved land. Lim spends a significant amount of her time representing lenders in connection with credit facilities to private equity funds and REITs, including subscription lines of credit, borrowing base facilities and unsecured lines of credit. Lim also represents equity owners, developers and other clients in connection with the acquisition and disposition of properties, portfolio sales and acquisitions, real estate investment joint ventures, leasing matters, restructurings of troubled loans and the exercise of remedies.
