Teamwork key to NAI Emory Hill’s continued growth and success

One of the keys to the continued growth of NAI Emory Hill and the Emory Hill Companies through the nearly 35 years since its start as a commercial real estate firm is employing teamwork – both within its own divisions, and with others in the field.

Emory Hill started in 1981 primarily as a development firm, soon splitting into construction and brokerage divisions. In 1997, Emory Hill partnered as an affiliate with NAI Global to form NAI Emory Hill, which now handles brokerage, property management and maintenance. Emory Hill has also partnered with other entities to form the NAI Emory Hill Retail Division, and Emory Hill/Millman West, the residential sales division. The companies, which operate independently, continue to provide expanded services and now offer third party maintenance, investment opportunities, lease evaluations, receivership services and more.

NAI Emory Hill often works together with other NAI Global affiliates to serve clients across the country. A recent example illustrates this: A lender client of NAI Emory Hill called earlier this year saying they had a golf course in Lake Anna, VA they wanted to sell. NAI Emory Hill president Carmen J. Facciolo, Jr. immediately called Kevin Goeller of NAI KLNB since the property was in their territory. Now the 1,000 acre, 960 lot, premier waterfront development known as “Cutalong” is due to be completed soon and will be the area’s first golf course community. The 18-hole course was designed by architect Tom Clark.

NAI Emory Hill has worked with several other affiliates to execute many commercial real estate transactions through the years including NAIMertz in New Jersey, NAI Keystone in PA. NAI Vista in Utah and NAI Southwest Florida. NAI Emory Hill also regularly works with NAIMertz, which utilizes Emory Hill’s property management services for its properties.

In addition to NAI Emory Hill’s work with other NAI Global affiliates, the various divisions within the Emory Hill Companies often work together to provide value added services and offer truly “full-service” benefits to its clients. Recent projects have included:

- VA Center, New Jersey

Emory Hill recently signed a lease on its property, 3000 Lincoln Dr. East in Marlton, New Jersey, to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for its Burlington County, NJ Medical Clinic; Emory Hill will also be handling building renovations according to LEED standards as well as property management and maintenance of the fa¬cility.

- Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems, PA

This firm recently held the Grand Opening of its new Acute Crisis Diversion Program at 800 New Holland Ave. in Lancaster, PA. The Emory Hill Companies were involved in several phases of the project, including negotiating the lease, management of the facility and 9,955 s/f of interior renovations

- Smyrna Health and Wellness Center, DE

This two-story, 108,000 s/f professional office building at 100 S. Main St. in Smyrna, DE is now being leased by NAI Emory Hill which is also providing onsite facility management and maintenance to tenants.

- Connections Community Support Programs, DE

NAI Emory Hill represented both the landlord and tenant in a 36,000 s/f office lease in Dover, DE for Connections and will be handling property management of the building, and is actively listing Connections’ Wilmington location at 500 W. 10th St., which is for sale.

“Diversification and teamwork are the essential ingredients that have put the Emory Hill Cos. on the map as one of the leading commercial real estate firms in the Mid-Atlantic region and helped us continue to grow,” said NAI Emory Hill president Facciolo, Jr., one of the company founders. “But it’s not so much about our business growing as it is about looking at the best ways we can serve our clients.”
