Climate Change Advisory Committee names Chair

HARRISBURG, PA A. Stevens Krug, a West Chester architect well-known for his work in sustainable design, has been elected Chair of the Climate Change Advisory Committee of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. Krug, who has served on the Committee since 2011, was elected by the sixteen members who include institutional, commercial, civic and advocacy appointees.

“I am excited to promote energy efficiency state-wide,” said Krug, “and I’m eager to move our advisory agenda forward. With the resources promised by Acting Secretary Quigley on behalf of Governor Wolf, we will advance our initiatives in high performance buildings, energy codes and financing, transportation, urban forestry and a host of issues that save money, create green jobs, and reduce carbon emissions in Pennsylvania.”
