Binswanger and BIDA broker sale of single-story industrial building in Bloomsburg


BLOOMSBURG, PA — On behalf of RR Donnelley, Binswanger and Berwick Industrial Development Association, Inc. (BIDA) announced the sale of their 370,000 s/f single-story, industrial building on 56.63 acres located at 4411 Old Berwick Rd. in Bloomsburg.

The buyer, Sekisui Polymer Innovations, LLC, currently has an existing facility in close proximity to the site and plans to bring an additional 200 new jobs to the area over the next five years.

Key features of the property include 6" reinforced concrete floor; concrete block over heavy structural steel frame and insulated metal panel walls; firestone single-ply membrane roof; columns spaced 30' x 40' and 45' x 45'; ceiling heights to 26'; T-8 fluorescent lighting; wet sprinkler system; 10,500 s/f of office space; 16 dock doors with levelers and seals.

The property is conveniently located just off I-80 Exit 242; two miles south towards the Town of Bloomsburg via Rte. 11.

The transaction was handled by Michael Treacy, senior vice president in Binswanger’s Philadelphia office. Rich Plonsker, executive vice president in Binswanger’s Chicago, IL office serves as account manager for RR Donnelley and is responsible for the account worldwide. The Binswanger team worked closely with BIDA’s staff to close the deal.

Both Binswanger and BIDA were assisted in their marketing efforts by the continued aid and cooperation received from numerous other sources including the Board of Columbia County Commissioners, the Governor’s Action Team, the Central PA Career Link, the SEDA-COG Joint Rail Authority, the North Shore Railroad and PPL. This project exemplifies the importance of several entities working together to achieve a common goal.
